So happy I was able to meet up with these two during my trip to San Diego. It was a perfect mix of sunny with clouds kind of day and I had so much fun catching up with Lindsay and getting to know Chris.

Can I start by saying how much I love these guys! Always so fun to work with and always up for anything. I am so glad we are able to connect while I was in San Diego for a few weeks. For the first time in the 8 years I have been photographing, it rained. We debated all the way to Balboa Park whether to call the session off or not and in the end we went for it! So much fun and little Meela was such a trooper! Thank you Loper family for continuing to allow me to capture you all.
*Quick note: I photographed this wedding for an awesome photographer here in Central Texas (West, Waco, Austin, and beyond), Valerie Payne with Photerium. Valerie is also a new mom, like myself, and her sweet boy Finn unfortunately was in the hospital the week of this wedding (he is now out and doing much better). I had worked with Valerie a few months back and knew from the minute I met her that I liked her. ;) I am so happy that I was able to help and had such an amazing time with Amanda and Trevor.*
To sum it up, these guys know how to get down! What a fun wedding and two awesome families uniting. I had a blast. Coming in last minute to a wedding can be a daunting task but Amanda and Trevor were right up my alley. And they are definitely getting me excited about the Texas wedding culture.
A few things I have already learned:
-The groom’s cake is just as important as the wedding cake
-The “Wedding March” is awesome and unpredictable
-I need to learn the steps Copperhead Road
Ceremony: St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church Austin, TX
Reception: Creekside Driftwood, TX
wedding
A couple weeks ago, Bliss had their annual Bridal Bash Bridal Show and while I didn’t participate this year (maybe next year #busymomproblems lol) I did stop by and check out a few fellow wedding vendors booths. Hanna of Hanna Braud Designs is also new to the Waco/Central TX scene like me. A lover of all things design and papery goodness she designs more than just the invites but the entire brand of a wedding. I love how she carries her designs across all the the possible printed details from invite to ceremony to reception. And I just love her style. It’s nice to see something fresh that isn’t a regurgitation of everything else out there. I also stopped by Karen of Posh Events booth. I recently photographed a wedding that Karen designed/coordinated and from the moment I met her I knew I liked her. She has great energy and great style. And, like Hanna, I love that she is full of original ideas and doesn’t just “throw up” a Pinterest board onto a wedding. Love these ladies and hope to continue working with them both while in Waco.
